Starbucks Korea is set to completely revamp its membership program, 'Starbucks Rewards', starting from June 17th. The core of this change focuses on significantly expanding customer choice and diversifying the ways 'Stars' can be utilized, allowing them to be redeemed for not only beverages but also food and merchandise items.
Key Changes
- Enhanced Gold Level Benefits:
- Beverage Size Upgrade: Use 2 Stars
- Free Handcrafted Beverage: Use 8 or 12 Stars (Check app for specific criteria)
- Food Voucher (8,000 KRW): Use 15 Stars
- MD Voucher (25,000 KRW): Use 50 Stars
- Expanded Green Level Benefits:
- Can now use Stars to redeem coupons
- Can redeem for Beverage Size Upgrade coupon and Free Beverage coupon (select menu items like Americano, Latte, etc.)
Special Promotion Events
- Chance to Become Gold Level (~June 15): Get 3 extra Stars when purchasing Frappuccino/Blended beverages using Starbucks Card or easy payment
- New Rewards Launch Promotion (~August 14):
- Green & Gold Members: Redeem 7 Stars for Baguette Salt Bread or Tangjong Bagel
- Gold Members Only: Redeem 13 Stars for Reserve Micro Blend 21 Americano/Latte
