"Give Me Back My First Love ㅠㅠ"…Shin-Dorim 'The Saint' Panorama Hall, 'This' Caused a Flood of Tearful Reviews After Renovation
Everyone, do you have a wedding hall that you 'fell in love with at first sight' while preparing for your wedding? For me, it was 'The Saint's' 41st-floor Panorama Hall in Shin-Dorim. With its 'high-rise panoramic view', 'bright pink flowers', and 'hotel-like luxury'! As soon as I saw it, I thought "This is it!" and booked it right away.
However, when I recently heard about the 'renovation' and revisited my wedding hall... it was not the place I had loved. Here are the honest reviews from prospective brides, who, like me, felt 'stabbed in the back'.
'Pink' Is Gone, 'White & Green' Has Arrived
The biggest change was in the 'flowers' that determined the overall atmosphere of the hall.
- Before: Bright and lovely pink & beige tones
- After: Calm and clean white & green tones
Of course, the white & green concept is pretty too, but the problem is that 'The Saint's' unique charm has disappeared.
"Seoul is full of wedding halls with a 'white & green' concept. With the loss of the 'bright and lovely' atmosphere unique to the Panorama Hall, it feels like it's just become another 'expensive' ordinary wedding venue, which is very disappointing."
'Luxury Leather' Is Gone, 'Plastic' Has Arrived?
The second change was the 'chairs'.
- Before: Elegant leather chairs in beige tones
- After: Transparent crystal (plastic) chairs
Although it was called an 'upgrade', many prospective brides expressed regret, saying, "The hotel-like ambiance disappeared, and it looks cheaper."
Where Did the 'Promises' Go?…'Point Color' Disappeared & 'Real Flowers' Controversy
The bigger problem is that promises made at the time of booking are not being kept.
"During the consultation, they clearly said 'white & green' with 'point colors', but when I actually saw it, there were no point colors, making the flamboyant carpet and flowers feel disjointed."
Furthermore, contrary to the explanation that the proportion of real flowers would be increased for a more luxurious look, a flood of reviews states, "There seem to be more artificial flowers, and the quantity of flowers has decreased."
A Wedding Hall Where 'Trust' Has Crumbled
The direction of the renovation might be a 'matter of taste'. However, unilaterally changing things without sufficient explanation or prior notice to contractors, and not even keeping promises, becomes an issue of 'trust'.
Of course, the advantages of being directly connected to Shin-Dorim Station, the 'panoramic view' from the 41st floor, and being a 'single hall' are still valid. However, with such a sudden change in what felt like my 'first love' wedding hall, it's inevitable that many prospective brides, including myself, have mixed feelings.
