The representative Tteokbokki festival of Korea held in Daegu, the 'Holy Land of Tteokbokki'! The 2025 Daegu Tteokbokki Festival (Tteokpe) is finally D-1! 🌶️✨

Those who went last year know, right? The massive crowds and the hot energy! This year, they've expanded the scale by 5 times, and the artist lineup has become even more splendid. (They even added amusement rides and a roller rink! OMG)

But! 🚨 There are more important changes to 'parking' and 'ordering methods' compared to last year. If you go without knowing this, you'll be in big trouble!
Here's an A to Z summary of everything you need to know to perfectly enjoy the Tteokpe, starting tomorrow!

Sinjeon, Yeopddeok, Sincham... the hometown of countless Tteokbokki brands! The 5th 2025 Daegu Tteokbokki Festival, held in Daegu, the 'Holy Land of Tteokbokki', is finally kicking off tomorrow for 3 days!

This year, they plan to fully capture the 'street food stall vibe' and 'retro atmosphere', offering nostalgia to adults and a hip experience to the MZ generation.

All the famous Tteokbokki restaurants from across the country are present! Performances by artists Chae Yeon, Park Nam-jung, plus amusement rides and a roller rink?! 🤯
But before visiting, there are 'key changes' you absolutely must know. Check them out now!

1. Basic Information (When? Where?) 📌

Festival Period: October 24 (Fri) ~ October 26 (Sun), 2025 / 3 days
Operating Hours: 11:00 AM ~ 9:00 PM
Location: Around Daegu iM Bank PARK (formerly DGB Daegu Bank Park)
Admission Fee: Free! (However, a QR wristband is required for entry!)

2. 🚨🚨🚨 Most Important! "Don't Bring Your Car!" (Parking & Transportation)

Parking was difficult last year, but this year, parking at the venue (iM Bank Park) is completely prohibited! Parking in nearby alleys is also expected to be almost impossible, so you must use public transportation or the shuttle bus.

Subway:
- Line 1 Daegu Station Exit 1 (15 min walk)
- Line 3 Bukgu Office Station Exit 1 (9 min walk)
Bus: Get off at 'Daegu iM Bank Park South/East' bus stop
Temporary Parking Lots (Free):
- ① Chilseong-dong Temporary Parking Lot (behind Chilseong Children's Park): 7 min walk to venue (close!) / Shuttle also operates (1:00 PM~9:00 PM)
- ② Daegu City Hall San-gyeok Campus Parking Lot: Far from venue (not walkable!) / Shuttle bus required (11:00 AM~9:00 PM, every 10 min)
Pro Tip: When issuing an entry QR for the festival, you can check real-time parking status!

3. "No More Waiting in Line!" Smart 2025 Tteokpe (QR System) 📱

The biggest change this year! You no longer have to endlessly wait in line at Tteokbokki booths.

Entry: At the venue entrance (Zone A) kiosk, get a personal QR wristband (essential!)
Order: At your table or desired location, scan the QR code for each booth with your smartphone → select menu and order
Payment: Pay immediately with your smartphone (card, simple payment, etc.)
Pickup: When cooking is complete, receive a KakaoTalk notification → go to the respective booth for pickup!

Advantages: Save waiting time! Easy ordering!
Disadvantages(?): Potential waiting for QR issuance at entry? Essential to manage smartphone battery! (Bring a power bank!)

4. "What to Eat to Be Known for Eating Well?" Tteokbokki Lineup 🤤

Over 52 booths will participate, including 28 national franchises + 24 Daegu local restaurants! (Zone B: Tteokbokki Food Zone)

Daegu's Top 3 Tteokbokki: Jungang Tteokbokki, Yunokyeon Halmae Tteokbokki are coming!
Famous Franchises: Sincham, Happy Cheese Smile, Sinjeon (probably?), Dookki (popup zone), etc.
Strong Daegu Locals: Sincheon Hwangje Tteokbokki, Red Tteokbokki & Red Gimbap (highly recommended!), Beom-atgan (garaetteok), Sinchon Kkaennip Tteokbokki (participating 3 years in a row!), 1987 Jamae Bunsik, Banhalmantteok, etc.
National Unique Restaurants: Jeju Myeongnyang Snack (Blue Ribbon!), Geummiok, Malpyo Tteokbokki, etc.

Roller with Daegu (Zone D):
- Retro Roller Rink: Operates 3 sessions per hour (15-minute experience) / On-site QR reservation essential!
- Daegu 10 Flavors Food Trucks: Various foods other than Tteokbokki!
- Tteokbokki/Meal Kit Pickup Zone: Pickup location for brands not participating at the venue.

Outerwear Essential: Even if it's hot during the day, evenings can be chilly! Prepare for temperature differences!
Wet Wipes/Tissues: Tteokbokki sauce... you know? 😉
Power Bank: Lots of smartphone use for QR ordering, taking photos!
Mat/Folding Chair (Optional): Though more tables have been added, they might be insufficient during peak hours.
Cash (Small Amount): Most payments are card/QR, but for flea markets, etc.!
