"All Set for CSAT Day!" 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test Traffic, Noise, Emergency Measures Comprehensive Summary! 🚨 (ft. Commute Time, Listening Test Time)

Folks! Folks! 😲 The 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), or Suneung, is finally just around the corner on November 13th! It's a crucial day where the efforts of over 550,000 test-takers will come to fruition. To ensure test-takers can focus on their exams in the best possible condition, the government and the Ministry of Education have made thorough preparations.

I'll summarize all the 'ultra-fast' support measures for CSAT day, including traffic control, noise prevention, and emergency preparedness, which both test-takers and all of us should know! πŸš€

1. "Vehicle Control 200m Ahead!" Support for Test-Taker Mobility & Commute Time Adjustment πŸš—

On CSAT day, November 13th, strict traffic control will be implemented at all test centers nationwide to ensure test-takers' safe and smooth entry.

  • Vehicle access controlled 200m from test centers: Test-takers using private vehicles must get off 200m away and walk, so please allow ample time. Parents are encouraged to help reduce congestion from turning vehicles after dropping off their children.
  • Commute time adjustment: To alleviate traffic congestion and convenience test-takers, government offices and businesses will be requested to adjust their commute times to after 10:00 AM.
  • Increased public transport & emergency transport: During test-takers' commute hours (6:00 AM - 8:10 AM), the number of Seoul Metropolitan Area subways will be increased, and emergency transport vehicles from administrative agencies like police stations will be deployed along test-takers' routes to assist with mobility.

2. "Shhh! It's Listening Comprehension Time!" Noise Prevention Measures Around Test Centers 🀫

Special measures will also be implemented to minimize noise around test centers so that test-takers can concentrate on their exams.

  • Public transport slow down & refrain from honking: Buses and trains passing near test centers must slow down and refrain from using their horns.
  • Refrain from construction & event noise: Construction sites near test centers, as well as various event venues, are urged to minimize everyday noise.
  • Special measures during 3rd period listening test: Particularly during the English listening comprehension test, from 1:10 PM to 1:35 PM for 25 minutes, the following measures will be enforced to prevent noise:
    • Adjustment of aircraft and helicopter takeoff/landing times.
    • Temporary suspension of military training such as artillery firing and tank movements.

3. Prepared for Any Eventuality! Natural Disasters & Enhanced Security πŸ›‘️

To ensure test-takers can take the exam with peace of mind in any situation, efforts are made to prepare for natural disasters and strengthen question paper security.

  • Preparation for adverse weather:
    • From November 7th, test center weather information can be checked in advance on the Korea Meteorological Administration website (www.weather.go.kr).
    • Provincial and municipal education offices will prepare transportation for test-takers in island and remote areas and snow removal measures in case of adverse weather.
  • Preparation for earthquakes: Earthquake situations will be constantly monitored, and an information delivery system will be established across all test centers to respond quickly according to earthquake response protocols.
  • Enhanced security for question/answer sheets: The Ministry of Education, the National Police Agency, and provincial/municipal education offices will cooperate to establish a thorough security system, and central coordinators from the Ministry of Education will be dispatched to all test districts to assist with the management of question and answer sheets.
